It is those last minute sunsets that can really be special. The sunset closing down onto the mountain peaks is beautiful Heather. And the foreground detail is still nicely exposed.

Thank you Debra, always appreciated. It was special to see so much of the range this clearly since parts of it are usually shrouded in cloud and I'm glad I took the time to get this one. I got another one recently that turned out better in some respects but the peaks were hidden by cloud cover. It's a challenge to get the shot I want but something to keep working on too.

Thank you for your comment Yves, always appreciated. It's a tricky view to photograph, especially at that time of day, but I wanted to be able to see Mount Robson which is the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies and as much of the range as possible. The photos I took later have nicer sunset colours but the range doesn't show as well as this one with the sun shining on it.

Pretty glowing sunset Heather. Good idea you have to get to the view point. I don't no for you but I tend to keep an eye on the little tree on the left. Very nice sunset.

I get what you noted about the tree being a distraction and I appreciate the honest feedback. I could have cropped it out or used another photo :)

No No Heather, the little tree is not a bad comment. Just an interesting element in the overall picture. Your photo is perfect as it is.

Well I certainly wouldn't call it perfect, it's a tricky view to capture the way I had in mind. Sorry about making an assumption.. although the tree was something I was already concerned about. Thanks Yves, much appreciated.
